Parent Coffee with the Principal and Board

Meet FGC Principal, Dr. Patricia Wilson, hear about school and FGC Association plans for the year, and find out how you can get involved. Plus see other parents! You won't want to miss it!

Scholastic Book Fair

Held during teacher conferences, our book fair makes it easy to find age-and-stage appropriate books for your fifth grader and their siblings and maybe buy some holiday gift books.

Teacher Appreciation

From welcoming staff before school starts, through providing meals during teacher conferences, to showering our staff with attention during Teacher Appreciation Week, the LFGCA plans and coordinates teacher recognition and celebration throughout the year. We also raise money for and provide gift cards to all staff at the holidays and at the end of the year.

After-School Classes & Clubs

Please see emails from Dr. Derek Wallace sent in August 2024 for information on district-wide youth enrichment activities.  You can access the website to sign up for activities here.

Holiday Happiness-Community

The FGC participates in the district-wide holiday gift drive, providing gift-list items to families in our district to help brighten their holidays. Families sign up to donate a specific item and bring or ship it to the school (unwrapped). 'Sharing without Shopping' allows you to donate $$ and let our volunteers do the shopping for you.

Student Social

The LFGCA typically hosts an after-school social event in the fall and spring, typically held on an early-release day. A skating party in the fall and movie night in the spring have been popular choices. Students provide their own transportation.

End-of-the-Year Celebration

During the last week of school, a Field Day of lightly-competitive activities brings the entire school together outside on the FGC grounds for fun and fresh air. Parents help run activity stations and/or chaperone student groups and provide a fun snack at the day's end.
